Serenity Funeral Home Las Vegas Obituaries: Celebrating the Life of Elizabeth Johnson

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Johnson, who left behind a legacy of love and kindness that will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Born on September 2, 1937, in Scott, Arkansas to Jessie and Charlotte Howard, Elizabeth grew up to become a pillar of strength and faith for her family and community.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, husband Willie Johnson, and daughter Carolyn Johnson. However, she is survived by her three sons, Elder Willie Johnson (Faye), Rev. Robert Johnson (Lillie) all of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Johnny Johnson (Silverie), California; one daughter, Dianne Polk (Rev.); ten grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; one uncle Eli Straw; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

In addition to her immediate family, Elizabeth leaves behind a network of extended family members who will deeply miss her warmth, love, and generosity. Her passing has left a void in her home and family that can never be filled, but we take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace with our Heavenly Father.

Elizabeth was a woman of great faith, accepting Christ at an early age. She lived by the principles of Matthew 5:4, 'Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.' Her kindness, compassion, and forgiveness inspired countless people throughout her life, leaving behind a lasting legacy that will continue to touch hearts for generations to come.
